Troop Quartermaster

Description The Troop Quartermaster keeps track of troop equipment and sees that it is in good working order
Comments The Quartermaster does most of their work around campouts.  There are times when the Quartermaster has to be available to check equipment in and out.

Qualifications

Preferred Age At least 13 years old
Rank Tenderfoot or higher
Experience none
Attendance 50% over previous 6 months

Specific Leadership Responsibilities

  • Keeps records on patrol and troop equipment
  • Works with SPL/ASPL to appoint Assistant Quartermaster
  • Makes sure equipment is in good working condition
  • Issues equipment and makes sure it is returned in good condition
  • Makes suggestion for new or replacing items
  • Works with Troop Committee member responsible for equipment
  • Gets the United States, troop, and patrol flags for meetings and ceremonies and puts them away afterwards
