Committee Member, Merit Badge Counselor, Assistant Scoutmaster, Scoutmaster, or just an adult interested in learning cool stuff

1. SET UP A MY.SCOUTING ACCOUNT

• Visit the My.Scouting website and create an account. https://my.scouting.org/
• There is also an app available through either the Google Play store or the Apple App Store

2. TAKE YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING

• Click on My Training
• Click on YPT
• Select to take the online training
  *Training must be re-accomplished every two years

3. POSITION SPECIFIC TRAINING

• Click on My Training
• Click on Training Center
• Click on Scouts BSA
• Locate the training program for whatever you need/want:
  1. Merit Badge Counselor,
  2. Troop Committee,
  3. Scoutmaster
• Click Add Plan and complete the online training!

*Please note that Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters additionally require the in-person course “Intro to Outdoor Leadership Training (IOLT),” which the Council conducts periodically.

Note: All completed training should show up in your profile on ScoutBook

Feel free to dig around on the My.Scouting website to see what other online training is offered. You are allowed to take whatever training the Scouts provide.
